Program Components

The Stewards of the Future experience is built around a powerful combination of virtual learning and in-person connection:

1. The Virtual Program (Online Modules):

   • Delivered through engaging, video modules (approx. 20 minutes each).

   • Expert-guided storytelling explores historical case studies and translates ancient wisdom into modern relevance.

   • Modules are structured to build a deep understanding of stewardship:

     • Module 1: The Foundations of Dynastic Stewardship: Understanding the unique characteristics of long-term family businesses and introducing the core concepts of stewardship and "survival DNA". (Often offered as a complimentary introductory module).

     • Modules 2-5: Navigating Crisis & Building Resilience: Dive into compelling case studies of families who survived major historical disruptions. Learn how they used crises as fuel for innovation, built "stewardship bridges," prioritized human-centered approaches (caring for employees, community, environment), and balanced innovation with legacy. Features insights and potentially interviews with actual family members.

     • Module 6: Your Path as a Steward: Synthesizing the lessons learned, exploring dynastic thinking, understanding how to shape your own ecosystem, and providing guidance on becoming a steward of the future in your own context.

   • The virtual program serves as the essential foundation, ensuring all participants share a common language and mindset.

2. The Annual Retreat:

   • The "magic sauce" of the program. A once-a-year in-person gathering for alumni and new stewards.

   • Designed for tribe-building, intimate networking, and in-depth discussions.

   • Includes facilitated roundtables, breakout sessions, walk and talks, and opportunities for peer-to-peer exchange and potential matchmaking/co-investments.

   • Timing is often linked to major global events like the World Economic Forum in Davos, allowing participants to enter these events with a stewardship mindset. We facilitate accommodation and logistics for the tribe.
