Climate Scale-Up helps growth-stage climate tech companies cross the second valley of death and scale internationally by providing tailored mentorship, fundraising support, market expansion tools, and unparalleled networking opportunities. Join a global community of innovators driving impactful climate solutions.

Why Join Climate Scale-Up?

Climate Scale-Up is designed for growth-stage climate tech companies that are ready to scale globally, secure funding, and expand their market presence.

Growth-Stage Investor Network

Raising capital beyond Series A requires access to the right investors who understand climate markets and are ready to deploy capital at scale. Through our syndicate network of VCs, family offices, and institutional investors, we help founders navigate fundraising, structure investment rounds, and secure follow-on funding.

Pilot Program & Market Access

Scaling successfully means proving real-world deployment. As part of the program, you can apply for exclusive pilot opportunities with corporates, municipalities, and industry partners looking to integrate climate tech solutions. These pilots help demonstrate your solution’s impact, unlock commercial contracts, and build investor confidence.

Peer Learning & Collaborative Networking

Join a community of climate tech leaders, investors, and policymakers who are navigating the same challenges and opportunities as you. Through private roundtables, expert-led discussions, and curated networking, you gain insights, share best practices, and build relationships that accelerate growth.

Visibility & Thought Leadership

Position yourself as a leader in the climate tech space by speaking at our exclusive events at Deal Day in Davos, COP, SF Climate Week, and NY Climate Week. Gain media exposure, engage with key stakeholders, and participate in high-level industry discussions that enhance your brand, attract investors, and open new market opportunities.

No Equity, Just Impact.

At Climate Scale-Up, we believe that climate tech founders should focus on scaling their impact—not giving away equity too soon. Unlike traditional accelerators or venture programs, we do not take equity in the companies we support. Instead, we provide high-value connections, investor matchmaking, and strategic support through a simple, transparent $5,000 program fee.

Who We Seek

We are seeking high-growth climate tech companies that are ready to scale globally. We are looking for companies that meet the following four key criteria:

Stage: Late Seed to Series A with Proven Traction

We are looking for companies that have already demonstrated product-market fit and are in the Late Seed to Series A stage. These companies should have successfully navigated early development hurdles, proven their technology viability, and gained initial customers or pilot projects. A minimum of $10M in prior funding ensures that these companies have the capital foundation needed to transition into full-scale commercialization and expansion.

Impact: Gigaton-Scale Emissions Reduction by 2040

To drive meaningful climate action, we focus on companies that have the potential to deliver gigaton-scale CO₂ reductions by 2040. This means targeting solutions that go beyond incremental improvements and have the potential to transform entire industries. Whether it’s through clean energy, industrial decarbonization, carbon removal, sustainable materials, or nature-based solutions, the companies we seek must have a measurable pathway to large-scale impact.

Scalability: Modular, Capital-Efficient Solutions

The ability to scale rapidly and cost-effectively is essential for achieving global impact. We prioritize companies with modular solutions that can be replicated across different markets, geographies, and industries without requiring massive infrastructure overhauls. Scalability also means capital efficiency—solutions should be able to expand without prohibitive costs, making them attractive to both investors and corporate partners seeking broad adoption.

Global Expansion Ready: Market-Validated and Scalable Across Borders

Companies selected for the program should be poised for international expansion, with business models that can operate across multiple regions. This means having regulatory awareness, corporate partnerships, and the ability to adapt to diverse market needs. Companies that are already in discussions with global investors, supply chain partners, or multinational corporations are especially well-positioned to scale with our support.

We prioritize businesses with transformative technologies, financial structures, or business models that can overcome barriers to climate deployment and scale effectively. If your company is at a pivotal moment and needs strategic support, capital access, and investor connections to accelerate its impact, we invite you to apply today and be part of the Climate Scale-Up.

Our Focus: Decarbonization and Beyond

While, decarbonization and carbon removal are critical components of our climate strategy, they are not happening fast enough to avoid the climate crisis. We also need more climate solutions that do not have the material and supply constraints that limit the pace of decarbonization. Therefore, we are looking for a more diversified approach focusing on the following categories:

  • Reducing and eliminating carbon dioxide emissions, primarily through the transition from fossil fuel-based energy sources to renewable and cleaner sources of energy.

  • Actively remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and sequester it for long periods. This approach is crucial for addressing the excess CO2 already in the atmosphere that contributes to global warming.

  • Enhancing the capacity of communities, ecosystems, and economies to withstand, recover from, and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

  • Targeting potent greenhouse gases like methane and non-CO2 emissions can yield immediate climate benefits. Controlling methane leaks from energy infrastructure and reducing non-CO2 pollutants like black carbon can slow warming.

  • Halting deforestation, stopping wildfires and promoting reforestation efforts can enhance carbon sinks and biodiversity, mitigating climate change and protecting ecosystems.

  • Protecting marine ecosystems and exploring carbon sequestration technologies can help mitigate the impacts of ocean acidification and rising sea levels.

  • While potentially a controversial approach, albedo management offers a range of potential tools to reduce warming and should be assessed to buy valuable time for other mitigation and adaptation efforts.
